Join the Kilpatrick Birthday Book Club!
Celebrate your birthday and support the library!
Anyone can participate in the Birthday Book Club! Parents, family members, and friends celebrate a special child by donating a book to the library in the child's honor.
Summer birthdays are invited to participate any time of the year. You may choose to celebrate your child's half-birthday!
Here's How it Works!
- At the beginning of the school year, sign up to participate in the Birthday Book Club and pay the $15.00 fee using the Katy ISD Pay N' Go app (OKE Library tab).
- 2-3 weeks before your child's birthday, he/she will be invited to the library to select a new book from our Birthday Book Club collection.
- A bookplate will be placed in the book indicating that the book was donated in your child's name and will include the date.
- During the week of your child's birthday, he/she will appear on our Morning Announcements with the donated book. The birthday child will receive a "Birthday Book Club" tag and be the first person to check out the new book!
